Car History:

Compared with the fine engine of the 190 SL model, 230 SL excited the public with its abilities of a sport car. Its engine was an improved model taken from the 220 SE and developed a power of 150 HP. The shape of the SL model, which appeared in July 1963, was not spectacular, but proved its elegance in time. The most obvious detail gave the 60’s SL model the nickname – „Pagoden-Mercedes“.

The roof’s shape appeared for the viewers as a roof of a Japanese temple. The 230 SL Mercedes existed until the beginning of 1967, after that it was replaced by the 250 SL model, with a power of 150 HP. Already from January 1968 the 280 SL model entered the program with a power of 170 HP, being known today by connoisseurs as the most harmonized SL Pagoda.ᅠFrom January 1968, the Mercedes SL Pagoda had a 2.8 L engine. After this creation the Roadster series reached its peak.

This vehicle has covered a total of 155.000 km. The expensive restoration of the car took place at 153.000 km. The special thing at this car is the steel hatch. It has been sealed only 16 times! This vehicle is absolutely a top car.
